OREANDA-NEWS. Imports of passenger cars in Russia for the first six months of 2016 fell by 31.7% up to 122.7 thousand vehicles. According to the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia, during the reporting period in Russia it was imported cars worth 2 billion 597.7 million dollars. At the same time from foreign countries it was imported 118.7 thousand cars worth 2 billion 529.3 million dollars, from CIS countries - 4 thousand vehicles worth 68.4 million dollars.

Imports of trucks in January-June fell by 13.5% up to 8.3 thousand vehicles with a total cost of 431 million dollars. Among them, 6.7 thousand trucks worth 219.5 million dollars were delivered from foreign countries, the rest 1.6 thousand cars worth 211.5 million dollars - from the CIS countries.

Exports of passenger cars in Russia fell by 31.7% for the six months of 2016 and it was 33.4 thousand units for a total sum of 504.2 million dollars. Therewith, to the foreign countries it was sent 10.5 thousand cars worth 256.8 million dollars, to the CIS countries - 22.9 thousand cars worth 247.5 million dollars.
