OREANDA-NEWS. In June of 2016 the production of motor vehicles in Kazakhstan was 1136 units, which is more by 27.6% compared with the year-ago result. Thus, Kazakhstan car industry shows the growth for the second month in a row, informed the press-service of the Union of companies of the automotive industry of Kazakhstan "KazAvtoProm".

More than 80% in the structure of Kazakhstan car industry in June fell on passenger cars, the production of which reached 933 units - more by 37% than a year ago. The volume of production of trucks for the first summer month was 162 cars (-20.6%). The rest 41 units - are buses, the assembly of which in the country by the end of June grew by 8.2 times.

Despite the fact that in the first half of 2016 Kazakhstan automotive industry resulted with the reduction of production by 56.2% (up to 3772 units), its individual segments are showing the growth. In particular, the production of commercial vehicles for 6 months grew by 16.6% up to 718 units.

According to the agency "AUTOSTAT", the chairman of the Union "KazAvtoProm", Oleg Alferov, in terms of the market downturn the Kazakhstan automakers managed to strengthen their position.
