OREANDA-NEWS.  AvtoVAZ has announced the results of operations in the first half of 2016, informed the press service of the company.

In the reporting period the share of LADA in the Russian car market was 19.8% versus 19% of the year before. Sales of LADA showed the result of 124,353 cars, which is less by 11.6% than in the same period of 2015. At the same time the whole market decreased by 15%. The volume of production of cars under the brand LADA, Renault, Nissan and the Datsun, including assembly kits, reached a level of 200,424 units.

Sales of AVTOVAZ in the first half of the year reached 87.1 billion rubles, which is less by 5% than in the same period of 2015. Operating loss was 27.6 billion rubles, including the impairment of non-current assets, which provided by the IFRS rules and it was caused by the low loading of capacity. Net operating loss of AVTOVAZ Group before impairment was 8.6 billion rubles (67% of increase). At the same time the operating loss of the second quarter before impairment reached 2 bln. rubles, which is an improvement compared to the first quarter of 2016 (-6.6 billion rubles) and it was caused by the implementation of the financial recovery plan.
