For the first six months of 2016, sales of new electric vehicles in Russia were 33 units

OREANDA-NEWS. According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", for the first six months of 2016, sales of new electric vehicles in Russia were 33 units, which is less by 28% than the same period of the last year (46 units).

The leader by the number of sold electric cars in the country is Tesla, sales of which reached 14 units. Among this amount, 13 units are the sales of sedan Tesla Model S, and another model - is a new crossover Tesla Model X. The second most by popularity in our country is the Mitsubishi i-MiEV (12 units). The third position is occupied by another electric car from Japan - Nissan Leaf (6 units). Also in the Russian roads there is appeared one electric car Renault Twizy.
