OREANDA-NEWS. On July 14th in Moscow, it was held a press conference of the Association «Russian Automobile Dealers» (ROAD), on which it was also announced the prospects of the Russian automotive market.

According to President of ROAD, Vladimir Mozhenkov, in 2017 it will be sold only 1.2 million new cars in Russia. Given the fact that the ROAD forecast in the Russian market in the current year is 1.35 million vehicles, then it testifies the further fall in car sales in the country. "There are no positive trends in general that could be observed by dealers”, - said Mr. Mozhenkov. – “And 1.2 million new cars will be sold only on the condition of state support. Otherwise, sales will fall even lower – up to 0.9 - 1 million units, which may result in the closure of many dealerships".
