OREANDA-NEWS. Contrary to the information, which is spread by some publications, Toyota Prius does not leave the Russian market, the press service of "Toyota Motor" informed the agency "AUTOSTAT". This is about the completion of the sales of the previous generation of model. At the same time the appearance in Russia of new generation Toyota Prius is not known yet.

Recall, the new generation Prius was presented at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt in the autumn of last year. Power hybrid powerplant of the new Prius has increased compared to the previous generation. At the same time the environmental performance of the car improved significantly - CO2 content in the exhaust gas decreased by 18%. Due to significant changes in engine design its thermal efficiency has increased by more than 40%, which at the moment is the best indicator for a gasoline engine in the world.

The new Prius became the first model of the company, built on TNGA global platform that will create a new type of car, with a steering that is unerringly responsive to the driver's movements, and it helped to avoid the changing suspension settings to greater rigidity to improve handling.
