OREANDA-NEWS. Audi has begun the mass production of a new compact crossover Audi Q2, with which the brand go to the new for it segment. Production of new car for the global market is adjusted on the largest Audi plant in Ingolstadt. Currently, the company is stepping up the production volume of Audi Q2 to about 450 cars a day.

Recall, premiere of Audi Q2 was held in the last spring at the International Motor Show in Geneva. Dimensions of model are the following: width - 1510 mm, height - 1790 mm, length - 4190 mm, wheelbase - 2600 mm.

New Audi Q2 will be offered with six engine options: three-cylinder TFSI 1.0 liters, two four-cylinder petrol engine of 1.4 liters and 2.0 liters, as well as three four-cylinder diesel engine with volume of 1.6 liters and 2.0 liters. The engine develops power from 116 hp up to 190 hp. An alternative for a 6-speed manual transmission is a seven-step robot S tronic, which is available for all engines. The most powerful TDI engines and the 2.0 TFSI combines with the updated S tronic with a new system of supply of oil and reduced friction. Also, both engines are equipped with permanent all-wheel drive quattro.
