OREANDA-NEWS. By making use of the new, extended body height grid, the S.CS MEGA with a VARIOS body can now use all common coupling heights on the market, while at the same time ensuring compliance with the laws on overall running height.

Thanks to the Schmitz Cargobull GENIOS chassis and the ROTOS running gear, the S.CS MEGA curtainsider can be cost effectively converted to a UNIVERSAL trailer. The statutory overall height continues to be observed in combination with all common trailer coupling heights. The interior heights are adjusted for this purpose and standard 385/65 R 22.5 tyres fitted to the ROTOS running gear.

This simplifies operations for companies when dealing with different coupling heights in the fleet, whilst helping to increase the trailer’s flexibility when offered for sale on the second-hand trailer market. It is widely expected to further improve residual values and lower the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

The well-known VARIOS Top Technology feature is retained. However, it sees the adjustable height spectrum extended and the tyres can be replaced easily and inexpensively.
