OREANDA-NEWS. Alexei Kokorin, Governor of the Kurgan Region, and Alexander Burutin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dalur JSC, signed an agreement on cooperation between the Government of the region and the mining division of Rosatom State Corporation. It provides collaboration in creating an industrial park in Dalmatovo.

Alexander Burutin commented as follows, “As a part of the project implementation for creating an industrial park, Dalur JSC positions itself as the anchor resident. At present, our company is the customer and the consumer of a wide range of equipment, materials and services for more than twenty industrial enterprises of the Kurgan Region. The industrial park will also welcome a number of joint projects”.

Alexander Burutin spoke at the forum with the report “Creation of Favourable Conditions for Socio-economic Development of Russian Towns” where he described in detail the experience of preparing for the creation of the Territory of Advancing Socio-economic Development in Krasnokamensk, Trans-Baikal Territory, where Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union PJSC, Russia’s largest uranium mining company, is the anchor resident. Alexander Burutin summed up, “Currently, the implementation of about 20 large-scale projects of foreign investors, subsidiaries and joint ventures of ARMZ Uranium Holding is under development in Krasnokamensk. I believe that well-coordinated teamwork can lead to positive results in the Kurgan Region”.

One of the important steps for the development of Dalmatovo engineering infrastructure facilities needed for the implementation of investment projects is to attract co-funding of the Foundation for the Development of Single-Industry Towns. The decision on such a possibility has been adopted by the task group on modernization of single-industry towns under the Government Commission for Economic Development and Integration.

The Governor of the Kurgan region stressed, “At the moment, we have three main areas of work in the field of increasing the investment attractiveness of the region: search for domestic and foreign investors, as well as training of experts in this field. It is very difficult to solve these issues without consolidated joint efforts. We shall reach out to all those interested in the investment attractiveness”.
