OREANDA-NEWS. GM-AvtoVAZ is considering the issue of the organization of industrial assembly of cars Chevrolet Niva in Kazakhstan. The agency "AUTOSTAT" was informed about it by the press service of the joint venture, without disclosing details.

Meanwhile, in January-May of 2016 it was delivered to the Kazakhstan market 224 Chevrolet Niva cars, which is less by 72.4% compared to the same period of the last year. By the volume of shipped products Kazakhstan became the second export market for the joint venture in 2016. Reduction of supply is explained in the press service of GM-AVTOVAZ by the decrease in consumer activity in the automobile market of Kazakhstan in connection with the entry into force of the legal acts related to the payment of utilization fee before the launch of car for sale.
