Alstom’s training and mentorship programs recognised by Victorian Minister
OREANDA-NEWS. Victoria’s Minister for Training and Skills, the Honourable Steve Herbert visited Alstom’s train manufacturing facility in Ballarat today to recognise Alstom’s commitment to the training and development of the next generation of railway manufacturing professionals.
The Minister highlighted how Alstom has been working in partnership with Government Training Organisations (GTO), Ballarat Group Training (BGT) and Apprenticeship Employment network (AEN) for the placement of apprentices at its site and with Ballarat Secondary College to support school based trainees.
The Minister recognised Alstom’s individual employees who have taken on mentorship roles for the apprentices with the award of certificates of appreciation. The Minister also presented Alstom with a special award for its ongoing commitment and dedication to the development of apprentices.
