ALROSA , the world leader in diamond mining, prepares vehicles for the development of Verkhne-Munskoe deposit
OREANDA-NEWS. PJSC ALROSA, the world leader in diamond mining, has announced that new motor vehicles were accepted into service in the run-up to the development of Verkhne-Munskoe deposit.
Three new Scania road trains with up to 90t payload capacity each, and Tonar semitrailer with up to 130t payload capacity, proceeded to the delivery of diamond-bearing ore from the Zarnitsa pipe to the Processing Plant No. 12, located 18 km from the deposit.
Motor vehicles are supplied in the scope of the investment project aimed at the replacement of Caterpillar heavy-duty open-pit dump trucks with Scania (Sweden) and Tonar (Russia) road trains. This august, one more Tonar road train with up to 130t payload capacity will arrive to the production site of Udachny Mining and Processing Division. During the year, ALROSA will also receive two Volvo with up to 90t payload capacity.
