OREANDA-NEWS. Imports of passenger cars in Russia for the first four months of 2016 fell by 38.4% to 79.4 thousand cars. According to the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia, during the reporting period in Russia it was imported passenger cars for 1 billion 629.4 million dollars. 

Imports of trucks in January - April fell by 26.4% up to 5.3 thousand cars with a total value of 266.6 million dollars. Among them, 4.5 thousand trucks worth 130.2 million dollars were delivered from foreign countries, the rest approximately 900 cars worth 136.4 million dollars - from CIS countries.

Exports of passenger cars in Russia fell by 32.8% for the four months of 2016 and it was 21.9 thousand units worth 335.4 million dollars. Therewith, to the foreign countries it was sent 6.5 thousand cars worth 173.4 million dollars, to CIS countries - 15.4 thousand vehicles worth 162 million dollars.
