OREANDA-NEWS. LADA Granta in May became the bestseller in the Russian market, by keeping this status the second month in a row. And although for the first five months of 2016 VAZ’s "low-cost” car still gives place for Hyundai Solaris, the gap from the best-selling foreign car decreased noticeably.

As it was noted in the review of the Russian car market for May, sales of LADA Granta cars were 7967 (-6%). The second result was shown by the Hyundai Solaris - 7627 sold cars, which is less by 28.4% compared to the last year. In the third place there is KIA Rio, whose sales were 7,569 cars (+ 1.5%). Leadership among SUV models is kept by Renault Duster, which was sold in amount of 4151 units (+ 21.1%). The new sedan LADA Vesta found 3752 buyers in May, by falling to the fifth place in sales ranking. Sales of Volkswagen Polo sedan remained at the last year's level and they were 3540 units. The best-seller in the wagon market is still Lada Largus, which was sold in the amount of 2,846 units (-19.1%).
