OREANDA-NEWS. Russian dealers of KIA sold 11997 cars in May, which is less by 2.9% than a year ago. In the first five months of 2016 sales of KIA were 56,986 vehicles (-8.5%), informed the press service of KIA Motors Rus.

As the Managing Director of KIA Motors Rus, Alexander Moines, said, according to preliminary statistics, KIA has retained the first place among all foreign automotive brands represented in Russia. Based on current company estimates, the market share of KIA in May of 2016 was almost 11%, and for 5 months - more than 10%.

The leader of sales in the model range of KIA remains the Rio model, which was sold in May in amount of 7569 vehicles, which is more by 1.5% than a year ago, and it is the best result since the beginning of 2016. For five months of 2016 30,825 sedans and hatchbacks KIA Rio were sold in Russia. As it was noted, the success of the model is contributed by the government programs to stimulate demand and favorable offers KIA Finance, as well as sales start of a special series of KIA Rio in April, dedicated to the European Football Championship-2016.

In the second place in terms of sales in the lineup of KIA in Russia for the second month in a row there is a crossover KIA Sportage of new generation. In May 1358 Russian customers acquired a novelty and since the start of sales on April 1st, 2016 the sale of KIA Sportage of fourth generation reached 3212 units.

The top-three of leaders is closed by the KIA cee'd, it was sold in May 1007 vehicles of this family, since the beginning of the year - 7322 cars. Among the clients special series cee'd Euro 2016 is in high demand.

Since the start of sales of a new generation of KIA Optima on March 9, 2016 until the end of May of 2016 in Russia it was sold 1799 cars.

The volume of corporate sales of KIA vehicles grew by 4.3% in May of 2016, and the most popular among the entities is KIA Rio and the new generation of KIA Optima.

The share of KIA cars, sold on credit, continued to grow and in May it was 29% of retail sales (in April - 26%). Since the beginning of year, KIA Finance loans were used by 25% of customers. The leader of sales on credit scheme is a model Rio, which had 71% of concluded contracts by KIA Finance in May, and by the results of January-May - 61%. The highest demand is for proposals within the framework of the state program of preferential car loan, the share of sales was 87% of all loans issued by the KIA Finance in May. In January-May of 2016 83% of loans KIA Finance fell on government programs. Also it is growing the popularity of program "Leasing KIA Finance» for individuals and KIA Leasing for legal entities.

In May, three new KIA dealer centers were opened in Russia. Since the beginning of 2016, Russia has opened 8 new authorized dealers of the brand. Currently KIA dealer network in Russia has 178 dealerships in 93 cities.
