OREANDA-NEWS. Analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" has conducted market research of new cars in Russia, and it has counted the profit from their sale for the first four months of 2016. According to a study in the January - April of this year, Russians spent on the purchase of new cars 558.9 billion rubles, less by almost 3% than in the same period of the last year.

The leader in sales in the Russian market is Toyota, which from the sale of new cars received 66.1 billion rubles – more by 8.6% than a year earlier. We should note also that the Japanese brand has managed to get around the previous leader in terms of profit German Mercedes-Benz, which is in the second line of the rating with 65.4 billion rubles (-0.4%). In the third place there is the Korean KIA (45,9 billion rubles; + 4.1%). Among the domestic manufacturers in the top-10 there was only LADA (43 billion rubles), which in terms of revenue is in the fourth place, by showing an increase of 4.2% to the result of the previous year. The top-five of leaders is closed by the Korean Hyundai (38.4 billion rubles; -17.5%).

Revenue growth was fixed at the twelve brands, represented in the top-25. It was achieved best of all by Ford (+ 72,5%). The serious indicator in this respect is fixed also for the Chinese Lifan (+ 63,3%), the Japanese Lexus (+ 43,6%) and the Russian UAZ (+ 40.7%). Other brands demonstrated a reduction in revenues. The situation is worse than at others in the US Chevrolet (-39,8%) and Japan's Mitsubishi (-39,7%).
