OREANDA-NEWS. Ford Sollers Company begins deliveries of Russian-made Ford vehicles to Belarus. In this country, it will be sold the whole range of Ford, manufactured in Russia – passenger cars Fiesta, Focus, Mondeo, Explorer, Kuga, EcoSport and vans Transit, including the commercial and passenger special versions.

As the newspaper "Vedomosti" informed that earlier there were delivered to Belarus Ford vehicles, manufactured in Europe - Britain, Germany, and Spain. "Replacing of the manufacturer will help to strengthen the position of the Ford brand in the market of Belarus by the adapted performance of cars to country's conditions, as well as increase of business processes efficiency," - says a representative of the joint venture. Plus, due to deliveries from Russia in the Belarusian market it will be more models of Ford. For example, customers will be able to buy Ford Fiesta cars in the body of the 5-door hatchback along with the version in the sedan, which is not produced in the Ford plants in Europe, but it is available in Russia.

Before the end of year it is planned to deliver from Russia to Belarus more than 500 Ford cars. "Later on the rise - from 1000 units per year", - says the manager of the company "Atlant-M Borovaya" (official importer of Ford in Belarus) Sergey Yelistratov. According to him, the main task – is 4% of the market of new cars in Belarus. Last year, dealers sold 26,190 cars - more by 6% than in the previous year, says the Belarusian Automobile Association data. Ford sales fell by almost half, up to 277 units.
