OREANDA-NEWS. Products of VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation were successfully exhibited at the International Exhibition NEFTEGAZ 2016 and International Aero-Engine Manufacturing Forum MFD-2016 held in Moscow on April 18-21, 2016.

The exhibition “Equipment and Technologies for the Oil and Gas Industries” – NEFTEGAZ 2016 was opened in the Central Exhibition Complex EXPOCENTER on April 18 and welcomed participants from Austria, Belgium, the UK, Germany, Canada, Korea, China, Japan, Russia and other countries. VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, a long-standing exhibitor, presented samples of titanium products which are incorporated in the equipment for the oil and gas industries. The Corporation managers held more than 50 meetings with potential customers and existing partners.

The day after, on April 19, the XIV International Aero-Engine Forum organized by the Association of Aero-Engine Manufacturers was opened at VDHKh. About 70% of VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation products are for aerospace application, that is why the company exhibited samples of titanium products used for manufacture of PS-90, SMF-56-7 engines as well as structural forgings for the aircraft application, disk forgings and other components.

However, the main exhibit of this event was a promising engine PD-14 for short-range and medium-range aircrafts which is developed as a mutual effort of several Russian companies including VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation which manufactures hollow blades, fan disk and case. Currently PD-14 engine is being flight tested on wing of the Il-76LL flying testbed.

In addition to that, the Corporation specialists participated in the Aero-Engine Scientific & Technical Congress with the paper “Advanced methods of design and development of manufacturing processes for titanium alloy compressor disk for turbine engines and methods of quality control”.
