North Dakota State University to Receive Video Displays from Daktronics
OREANDA-NEWS. Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, announces that North Dakota State University (NDSU) had asked the company to design, manufacture and install a centerhung video display system for the Scheels Center inside the new Sanford Health Athletic Complex (SHAC) on campus in Fargo, North Dakota. The new system will be installed this coming summer and be entertaining Bison sports fans for the fall sports season.
"Daktronics is a proven leader in the marketplace and we are excited to partner with them in what will be a transformational facility for Bison Athletics," said NDSU Director of Athletics Matt Larsen. "The video displays will enhance an already exciting game-day atmosphere for our student-athletes and fans as well as provide expanded opportunities for sponsorships and revenue generation."
The displays facing the sidelines of the arena will measure approximately 7 feet high by 18 feet wide. The end displays will measure 7 feet high by 9 feet wide. The corners will measure 7 feet high by 2 feet wide. Each of the displays will feature a 6 millimeter pixel pitch.
The displays will provide excellent image clarity and contrast with wide angle visibility to appeal to every seat of the complex. The four main displays will feature variable content zoning which allows them to show one large image or separate each display into smaller sections to show combinations of live video, instant replays, scoring information and statistics, graphics, and advertisements.
The SHAC will also be receiving a total of 12 scorer's tables. Each scorer's table display will measure 2 feet tall by 9 feet long. These displays will include game statistics including and animations, and complement the main displays.
The scorer's tables and the corner displays will be able to show complementary content to the main display, including game stats, graphics and sponsor advertisements.
Also included with the installation is a facility scoring and timing system.

In addition to the equipment installation, NDSU will also receive digital content produced and delivered by Daktronics Creative Services. This content will be shown on the video displays consist of sponsorship messages, crowd prompts, player profiles, game opens and venue announcements at the request of the university.
