Pembina plans Duvernay infrastructure
OREANDA-NEWS. June 01, 2016. Pembina Pipeline has signed an agreement with an undisclosed investor to build infrastructure for its 100 Mmcf/d Duvernay I shallow cut gas plant.
The supporting infrastructure, valued at C\\$130mn (\\$99.2mn) includes condensate, a gas and water field handling hub, a gas gathering trunk line and a fuel line.
The field hub will connect to the investor's development well pads providing separation, stabilization and other supporting services as well as connect into Pembina's Peace Pipeline system. The company also plans to build a 35km gas gathering trunk line between Tony Creek, Alberta and Fox Creek, Alberta, that will connect the field hub to Pembina's Duvernay I facility.
The company plans to start operations of the field hub and related infrastructure in the second half of 2017. In addition, Pembina has begun preliminary engineering on a 'twin' Duvernay II facility.
