Security Industry Assoc. Honors Silent Knight Fire and CO Detector as Top Fire/Life Safety Product
As one device replacing a CO detector, smoke detector, mini horn, monitor modules, three junction boxes and all related wire, the SK-FIRE-CO detector offers substantial savings and a cleaner room appearance. To satisfy local and national fire alarm requirements, the detector's B200S sounder base provides distinct tones for a fire versus a CO emergency, and can be synchronized to nearby horns. Working in concert with the entire line of IntelliKnight version 13 fire alarm systems, the detector's sounder base can be programmed as a single or multi-station alarm.
"New code requirements, particularly for CO detection, are driving demand for the FIRE-CO'. Also, I really think dealers are starting to realize this device's time-saving benefits, plus some cost savings they can pass onto customers. It's a win-win," said Loren Schreiber, Silent Knight product marketing manager.
This year's NPS had 106 entries from 88 companies. The NPS was established in 1979 to recognize innovative products, services and solutions in electronic, physical security. Technologies showcased through this program are used in the protection of life and property in residential, commercial and institutional settings.
"Each year, the companies competing in SIA's New Product Showcase at ISC West present the leading-edge security solutions that are shaping the industry," said SIA CEO Don Erickson. "These new technologies and solutions are the drivers that are moving the security industry forward, and I congratulate Silent Knight on their win at this year's NPS."
