OREANDA-NEWS. Kaliningrad plant "Autotor" on May 19th started the production of three new models of Hyundai cars: premium sedan Genesis, a new crossover Santa Fe Premium, the updated compact sedan Elantra. Expansion of the model range was provided by earlier reached agreements on deepening of strategic partnership, informed the press service of "Autotor".

As it was noted, the launch of three new models is the next step in the development of cooperation of Kaliningrad automaker with the South Korean Hyundai brand in the production of passenger cars.

Recall that joint project of enterprise "Autotor" and Hyundai Motor Company for the production of passenger cars was launched in 2013. Its result was the adjustment on assembly line of business class passenger car Hyundai i40 at Kaliningrad car plant, and then the Hyundai's flagship model - sedan premium Equus. In 2015, the nomenclature of produced Hyundai brand cars in the "Avtotor” was replenished by the fifth generation of Elantra model. Since the start of the project realization it was produced 28,963 of Hyundai cars.
