UNIVERSUM Ranking: Audi Is Preferred Employer
Audi is highly attractive with its projects for the future, especially for engineering graduates. Four weeks after taking first place in the Trendence survey*, engineering students have now voted Audi as the winner of the UNIVERSUM survey. “The pursuit of innovation is deeply ingrained in our DNA,” explained Antje Maas, Head of Human Resources Marketing at AUDI AG. “Young development engineers can help us to creatively shape the transformation of mobility as well as the modern world of work.”
Impressions of the many innovative jobs at Audi are given by the current employer campaign “Some call it work.” That’s where development engineers report on their ideas and achievements for example in the fields of lighting, laser and battery technology. Specialists from other departments of the company also present their work, such as in the experimental Audi Production Lab, the Audi City digital showroom format and the Audi Virtual Reality Experience.
The brand scores points with its progressive concepts also with students of business management. They have voted Audi into second place in the UNIVERSUM study, like in the Trendence survey. Next-generation IT experts assess Audi as the best automobile manufacturer directly after IT industry leaders Google, Microsoft and Apple. IT specialists now have good job opportunities: Audi aims to recruit some 1,200 people in Germany alone for its key future projects and its ongoing digitization initiative.
As a preferred employer, Audi offers many entry possibilities for talented young people. For example, about 2,000 students did an internship at the company in 2015. Other entry opportunities include the doctoral program and the twelve-month trainee program, in which the participants work on projects in various departments of the company and can thus build up a wide network. As of June, graduates and young professionals with up to two years work experience can also apply for a new specialist trainee program. Over a period of two years, the program intensively prepares the participants for their target positions. Due in particular to a system of rotation in interface areas, the specialist trainees gain important expertise on the brand’s future focus areas.
