Honeywell Presents Its Latest Connected Technologies That Help Reduce Clinical Errors At Saudi Health Exhibition
Honeywell’s all-new Dolphin™ CT50h clinical mobile device will be previewed at Saudi Health for use in the Middle East for the first time. CT50h is a powerful Android device that incorporates a barcode reader with the functionality and user experience of a smart phone to help hospital staff expedite admissions, provide accurate medication administration and simplify specimen collection. The ergonomic handheld computer also gives hospital staff full access to patient data, medical device status and clinical alarm events, and allows for secure communications with doctors and care teams from anywhere in the hospital.
Through automated workflows and communications, Honeywell is helping hospital staff become “connected clinicians” by significantly increasing productivity, responsiveness and safety to achieve greater patient satisfaction and enhanced hospital operations.
Connectivity is a key factor in government initiatives to foster better healthcare for the Gulf Cooperation Council’s (GCC) citizens and residents, and Honeywell is well positioned to meet the region’s needs with technologies such as non-invasive sensors for measuring vital signs and IP-based nurse call systems, patient entertainment, alarm management and intelligent building automation systems for hospitals and nursing homes of all sizes.
At the show, Honeywell's “Connected Hospital” proposition to integrate infrastructure and ensure rapid information flow and more agile operations for a smoother patient journey will also be on display. The “Connected Patient” initiative, on the other hand, will demonstrate technologies that can improve the health of patients through effective monitoring in the hospital and beyond while reducing costs and readmissions.
“As investment in healthcare infrastructure continues to grow across the region, it is important that the right technology is in place in hospitals to increase productivity levels, streamline operations and achieve greater patient satisfaction and care,” said Mohamed Al Mousa, country manager for Honeywell in Saudi Arabia. “Saudi Arabia is by far the GCC’s largest healthcare market and Saudi Health is an important platform for us to meet with healthcare professionals and share our ideas on what the future of healthcare looks like.”
