OREANDA-NEWS. Imports of passenger cars in Russia for the first three months of 2016 fell by 45.7% to 52.7 thousand vehicles. According to the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia, during the reporting period in Russia there were imported passenger cars worth 1 billion 017 million dollars. At the same time from foreign countries it was imported 51.2 thousand cars worth 987.5 million dollars, from CIS countries - 1.5 thousand vehicles worth $ 29.5 million.

Imports of trucks in January-March fell by 38.2% to 3.4 thousand cars with a total cost of 158.8 million dollars. Among them, 2.7 thousand trucks worth $ 69.1 million were delivered from foreign countries, the rest 600 vehicles worth 89.6 million dollars - from CIS countries.

Export of passenger cars in Russia fell by 22.8% for the three months 2016 and it was 16.9 thousand units for a total sum of $ 220 million. Therewith, to the CIS countries it was sent 4.1 thousand cars worth 119.4million dollars, to the CIS countries -. 12.8 thousand cars worth 100.6 million dollars.

Exports of trucks fell by 21.9% - up to 2.5 thousand units by 68.9 million dollars.. To the foreign countries it was delivered 1.6 thousand trucks worth 52.9 million dollars, to the CIS countries - 900 vehicles worth 16 million dollars.
