OREANDA-NEWS. PAO Severstal, one of the world's leading vertically integrated steel and steel-related mining companies, announced the appointment of Dmitry Sakhno as Director of Raw Material Sales, Procurement and Logistics at Severstal, with effect from 4 May 2016. Dmitry will report directly to Severstal’s CEO, Vadim Larin. Dmitry’s previous role of Director of New Project Development for the Group will cease to exist.

Vadim Larin, CEO of Severstal, said: "Over the years Dmitry has demonstrated considerable skill at managing investment projects. I am convinced that his broad experience at Severstal will be extremely valuable as he works to further improve the effectiveness of the Group’s raw material sales, procurement and logistics. I wish Dmitry the best of luck in his new role."

Dmitry Sakhno began his career at Severstal in December 2010 as Project Director in the Strategic Development Division of Severstal Resources and later became Project Development Director for Severstal Management (the Group). Prior to joining Severstal, Dmitry Sakhno gained experience in managing investment projects as Managing Director of United Industrial Corporation and CEO of Yenisei industrial company. Dmitry Sakhno graduated from the Moscow State University of Mikhail Lomonosov in the Mechanics and Mathematics Department.
