OREANDA-NEWS. The annual national competition “Ukrainian Star of Packaging 2016” has awarded victory to the package for construction mixtures CERESIT in the category Packaging for Industrial Products. The packaging was made by UKRPLASTIC for HENKEL Ukraine. It is the world’s first joint project to replace traditional packaging with more eco-friendly and functional packaging material, focused on the construction industry. The jury noted that the package has high barrier properties and reliable transportation and storage. In addition, experts noted the high print quality and original design of the package, designed for 2 and 5 kg. This package showcases the advantageous product on the shelves of building supermarkets.

According to Irina Mirochnik, the President of PC UKRPLASTIC, “The success of this packaging solution has been made possible thanks to the joint work of experts and partnerships with the company Henkel. Environmentally friendly business and a responsible approach to consumer safety form the basis of cooperation. The reward that the CERESIT package received in the competition “Ukrainian Star of Packaging 2016” only confirms the correctness of our chosen direction,” - said I. Mirochnik. Recall that the competition is organized by the Packagers Club of Ukraine, which annually identifies the best professionals of the domestic packaging industry. This year marked the 18th time that the competition has taken place and saw professional experts of the domestic packaging industry judge more than 70 different packaging samples.

The jury took into consideration the design, material quality, originality and execution of the submitted samples. Companies that won at the national level have been given the right to participate in the international competition of the World Packaging Organization. UKRPLASTIC has won in two categories and received three awards from the competition, and will compete in the prestigious professional World Star 2016 competition.
