Nissan: Nissan Group Reports April 2016 Canadian Sales
OREANDA-NEWS. Nissan Group today announced monthly Canadian sales of 12,148 units, an increase of 6.9 per cent over last year and the best April in the company’s history. This sales achievement marks 33 consecutive months of record sales for the Nissan Group in Canada.
Nissan brand sales increased 7.8 per cent with 11,246 units sold, setting a new April sales record.
Nissan Division April highlights:
- Nissan’s best-selling vehicle in Canada - the Nissan Rogue crossover - set an April record at 3,522 - an increase of 20.7 per cent, marking 29 consecutive months of record sales.
- The Murano crossover set a new all-time sales record at 1,527 units, an increase of 147.1 per cent.
- The fully-electric Nissan LEAF also set an all-time sales record at 152 units, an increase of 19.7 per cent.
- Sales of the Frontier pickup truck set an April record at 429, up 95.9 per cent.
- Sales of the NV200 compact cargo van increased 65.7 per cent to 169 units, an April sales record.
- Sales of the 370Z sports car increased 40.0 per cent to 105 units.
Infiniti April highlights:
- Infiniti reported sales of 902, a decrease of 2.6 per cent versus a year earlier.
- Infiniti crossovers and sport utility vehicles continued to be in demand with the QX80 full-size luxury SUV setting an all-time sales record of 102 units, an increase of 85.5 per cent.
- The QX60 luxury crossover set an April sales record with 345 units sold, an increase of 10.9 per cent.
- Sales of the QX50 luxury compact crossover increased 62.4 per cent to 281 units.
