OREANDA-NEWS. Russian dealers of Porsche began to take orders for the mid-engine sports coupe 718 Cayman and Cayman S 718 of the fourth generation. The novelty will be on sale from the end of September 2016. New 718 Cayman completes the model range after only a few weeks after the debut of 718 Boxster, informed the press service of "Porsche Russland".

Price of Porsche 718 Cayman in Russia starts from 3.62 million rubles, 718 Cayman S - from 4.356 million rubles. As it was noted, the price of the closed two-seater is for the first time less than for the roadster - similar to the models 911.

In 718 Cayman there are used the same new four-cylinder turbocharged engines, as in 718 Boxster. Thus, coupe and Roadster at first have the same engine power. The model of basic level starts with an engine capacity of 300 hp of two liters of working volume. S-model offers a power of 350 hp with a working volume of 2.5 liters. It is more by 25 hp compared to previous models with fuel consumption in the NEDC cycle from 8.1 to 5.7 liters per 100 kilometers. 718 Cayman with PDK and the optional Sport Chrono Package accelerates from zero to 100 km / h in 4.7 seconds; the acceleration time of 718 Cayman S is 4.2 seconds. Maximum speed of 718 Cayman reaches 275 km / h, 718 Cayman S - 285 km / h.

Cayman Models 718 received completely new chassis settings. More "acute" steering with a 10% change gear ratio improves the flexibility and dynamics of the car. Increased half-inch width of the wheel of the rear axle drive in conjunction with the new tires increases the resilience of lateral forces and thereby improves the stability of the vehicle during turning.

To improve the driving dynamics 718 Cayman got such options as the Sport Chrono Package and torque distribution system Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV). Also, it is offered optionally the adaptive suspension with PASM understatement of the body by 10 mm, and for the S-model it is also offered at first the PASM sports suspension with understating of the body by 20 mm. Sport Chrono Package is now - as at other Porsche sports car - has a switch mode of movement of the steering wheel. The three previous settings «Normal», «Sport» and «Sport Plus» received Program of movement «Individual», which allows the driver to turn on the previously configured the individual car tuning.
