OREANDA-NEWS. The Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company, Limited (the “Company”: President Koichiro Watanabe) is pleased to announce that it has decided its investment in LNG plant project finance in the United States of America by adopting the new trust structure [Investment amount USD 30 million].

In this investment, it has adopted the new investment structure with one of major trust bank. The structure converts investment denominated in foreign currency loan into JPY-denominated bond and it bring about more efficient management such as currency hedge operation, project monitoring. This enables the Company to more flexibly expand its investment volume.

From 2013, The Company continuously and actively enhanced its investments in growth areas such as infrastructure sectors. Throughout this endeavor our investment amount in infrastructure area steadily increase over a few years, and reaches to USD 1 billion. The Company endeavors to become a more sophisticated institutional investor and to diversify its investment approach going forward. As an institutional investor, we will proactively pursue better investment yield that enhances our corporate value.
