SAIC Awarded $93 Million Task Order by the Software Engineering Directorate under AMRDEC
OREANDA-NEWS. Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) was awarded a $93 million task order by the Software Engineering Directorate (SED) under the Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineer Center (AMRDEC) within the Department of Army. Under the Human Dimension Support Services (HDSS) task order, SAIC will provide human-performance training services to Special Operations Soldiers, federal agencies and civilian employees.
“As part of this contract, SAIC will continue to provide soldiers with services that will improve their cognitive, tactical and physical performance in high stress environments,” said Jim Scanlon, SAIC senior vice president and general manager of the Army Customer Group.
The hybrid (fixed price and labor hour) task order, awarded under the General Services Administration’s One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services (OASIS) vehicle, has a one year base period of performance, and four one-year options. Work will be performed nationwide.
As part of SAIC’s training and simulation offering, the company will provide a holistic solution to improving human performance in support of SED’s initiatives across Department of Defense and government agencies, to include software development and scientific research.
