Trendence study: Audi is a top employer
Audi is planning for the future and is thus highly attractive for the engineers of tomorrow in Germany. According to a recent study by the trendence institute, the company is the most favored employer for this target group. The study surveyed 37,000 students at universities in Germany in the past six months. “We regard these results as important affirmation,” stated Stephan Meier, Head of International and Top Management Human Resources at AUDI AG. “Young development engineers appreciate that we are rethinking the mobility of the future and are creatively disrupting the automotive world.” Meier believes that the company’s corporate culture plays an important role: “At Audi, we encourage open discussion and deliberately place even more focus on the topics of trust and respect.” Students of business management are also attracted by this attitude. They once again gave Audi a very good ranking of second place among their preferred employers.
Audi offers young talented people and experts exciting tasks in an environment of innovative advanced technology and modern workplaces. That includes more than 200 flexible working?time models, individual possibilities for further qualification, comprehensive health care, numerous programs for combining family life and working life, and the option of voluntary social activities. In the working environment, employees have increasing access to digital communication platforms and interactive applications, allowing more feedback and independence.
Additional jobs are also being created in connection with digitization. This year alone, Audi aims to recruit some 1,200 people in its most important areas for the future at its German sites in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm; many of them will provide support in the areas of Audi connect services and IT. IT students also confirmed Audi’s attractiveness as an employer in the trendence study: They continue to see the automobile manufacturer in the top ten of the most popular potential employers in Germany.
The trendence ranking continues a successful start to the year for the Audi Group. The automobile manufacturer was already selected as “top employer” in Belgium and Italy in the first quarter. Audi Hungaria recently received an award as “Most attractive employer.” In Mexico, before the plant starts operations, Audi is already among the top five preferred employers with the most important target groups. Audi China has been selected as “Best Employer Top 100” and is the only foreign automobile company to be awarded “Most attractive top?ten employer among females.” By the end of this year, the Audi Group will have production facilities at 17 sites in 13 countries.
