OREANDA-NEWS. April 25, 2016. Baku Higher Oil School and Academician Zarifa Aliyeva Lyceum signed cooperation agreement. BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov stated that the Lyceum has high-level education and training program and its graduates always demonstrate high-level performance. According to the agreement, cooperation between the Higher School and Lyceum envisages organizing technical, scientific and methodological events to increase students’ interest in engineering. Elmar Gasimov was convinced that the agreement would serve for development of bilateral relations.

Director of Lyceum Mehriban Valiyeva thanked BHOS management and said that owing to development of bilateral relations Lyceum’s students and graduates would gain broader opportunities. She also said she was proud that graduates of Lyceum were the students of BHOS. Mehriban Valiyeva stated that bearing the name of Academician Zarifa Aliyeva, the prominent Azerbaijani ophthalmologist and scientist, was honorable and at the same time being the matter of responsibility.

The agreement encompasses providing library and lecturing halls of Lyceum with information resources, organizing meetings and trips for Lyceum students to BHOS and SOCAR’s enterprises. It will also support Lyceum students in their involvement in activities on technical creativity, joint visit to theaters, concerts and museums, organization of athletic competition for BHOS and Lyceum teams. The students of both schools will be involved in corporative events. BHOS students, who graduated from the Lyceum, as well as BHOS specialists will deliver lectures for senior students of Lyceum. The bilateral cooperation will support creation of educational laboratories at BHOS new campus in the scope of technical profile courses, involvement of BHOS specialists to teaching activity at the Lyceum, organization of joint conferences, workshops and training in order to increase the level of specialists’ training.
