OREANDA-NEWS. April 25, 2016. Hillenbrand, Inc. (NYSE: HI) received the M&A Advisor's 2016 Award for Cross Border Regional Deal of the Year. The award was given for Hillenbrand's95 million euros purchase of Germany-based ABEL Pumps LP (ABEL), completed in October 2015.

Since 1988, the M&A Advisor has been recognizing the achievement of the world's leading mergers and acquisitions. This year, over 250 companies representing every major market in the world were finalists for the awards. An independent committee of 19 top cross border M&A industry experts determined the award recipients.

ABEL is a globally recognized leader in the development and manufacturing of diaphragm pumps, pumping solutions, parts and service. Its equipment is sold primarily into the power generation, wastewater treatment and general industrial markets.
