OREANDA-NEWS. Gazprom today hosted Israel's Technology Day. The event took place at the premises of Gazprom VNIIGAZ.
The trade show featured the latest products from 13 Israeli companies: Modcon Systems LTD, Teldor Cables & Systems Ltd, A.R.I Russia / Aqwise, Ortech Defence Systems Ltd, ESC BAZ, WebinPro, Mellanox Technologies, BQR Reliability Engineering Ltd., CyberX, Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd, Check Point, and Supergum Corporations. These companies specialize in technology and product development in the field of integrated automation of production processes, information security, data collection and storage, network interconnections and server services, satellite communications, video surveillance systems, specialty cable manufacturing, development and implementation of innovative solutions in cable systems, etc.

Israel's Technology Day was attended by the representatives of Gazprom's structural units and subsidiaries, including Gazprom Inform, Gazprom Proyektirovaniye, and Gazprom Space Systems.

Gazprom VNIIGAZ, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom, is a research center focused on technology design and development for the gas industry, including gas field exploration and development, offshore oil and gas development, gas processing and treatment; regulatory support, design and operation of gas transmission systems and underground gas storage facilities; and environmental safety and energy efficiency activities.

The company has a staff of more than 1,500 professionals, among them over 50 PhD holders and 280 Doctors of Sciences, as well as over 400 young scientists and engineers. The scientific and technical complex includes more than 100 production and research laboratories. Gazprom VNIIGAZ has the oldest postgraduate training program in the industry, as well as a number of dissertation committees.
