OREANDA-NEWS. April 20, 2016. CeBIT 2016, held March 20-24 in Hanover, was a great opportunity to discuss “Skills for the Digital Transformation” in the context of the SAP Education Network for Digital Transformation.

The idea behind this new SAP initiative is to engage and prepare executives and professionals to lead their organizations on the journey to become digital enterprises.

During an SAP InnoJam with students at CeBIT, I had the pleasure to talk with Otto Schell, Member of the Board of Directors – Business Processes & Industry Solutions of DSAG e.V. – the German-speaking SAP user group.

How critical is the human aspect of digital transformation?

Have a look at this three-minute video interview to hear his thoughts on these important questions about digital transformation:

  • Are we now moving away from a purely IT-driven point of view towards a business-driven approach?
  • How critical is the human aspect of transformation? If transformation requires a mix of generations, how can we, through initiatives like the SAP Education Network for Digital Transformation, combine the views and energy of Generation Y with the experience of other generations?
  • If IT and business functions merge as part of digital transformation, what will be the impact of the new focus on business modeling, business platform, and business engagement?
It is now time not only to talk about digital transformation, but start acting: Join our community, the SAP Education Network for Digital Transformation, here.
