IAC Auditors Confirm Reliability of Pervouralsk Pipe Plant Aviation Products
OREANDA-NEWS. April 20, 2016. The Pervouralsk Pipe plant (part of ChelPipe Group) has passed audit for re-certification of the facilities manufacturing aviation products. The auditors from the Material Certification Center and the Aviation Register of Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC AR) gave a positive opinion on the entire range of the certified products manufactured by the white metallurgists.
In the course of the audit, the team of the auditors inspected the pipe mill, cylinder and tube-drawing departments of the Pervouralsk Pipe plant; they also visited the central testing laboratory, NDE and metrology department, technical inspection department and quality management system department.
The auditors confirmed that the Pervouralsk Pipe plant meets pipe quality criteria and appreciated the work done by the company specialists involved in data processing and making production processes more stable. In addition, the auditors shared a positive opinion on the investment projects pursued by the white metallurgists to improve the quality of the aviation products.
Before the audit, the scope of the certificate issued to the Pervouralsk Pipe plant covered aviation products manufactured under 43 regulatory documents. After the audit, the scope was expanded to 44 positions. It should also be noted that the Pervouralsk Pipe plant is the only supplier to the Russian market for certain types of aviation products that have been added to the scope of the certificate.
The Pervouralsk Pipe plant passes re-certification audit for aviation products once every three years. The next audit is scheduled for 2019. Within the time between re-certification audits, the Material Certification Center carries out compliance audits on an annual basis.
