OREANDA-NEWS  The manufacturer of Dulux paints will change the brand name in Russia to Luxium during the first half of next year. This is reported by RBC with reference to the statement of the Akzo Nobel Decor company.

It is noted that such a decision was made as part of the localization of Russian business. At the same time, the changes will affect only the name and logo of the brand, Akzo Nobel Decor clarified. "The range, formulas and price positioning of products will remain the same," the company explained.

Similar changes will occur with other paint and varnish brands owned by Akzo Nobel Decor. We are talking, in particular, about Pinotex, Hammerite and Marshall. "The rebranding will take place during the first half of 2025," the company concluded.

Akzo Nobel Decor is the Russian division of the international company Akzo Nobel, based in the Netherlands (its head office is located in Amsterdam). In Russia, the production of the subsidiary is concentrated in Balashikha, near Moscow. By the end of 2023, the total revenue of Akzo Nobel Decor amounted to 6.87 billion rubles, and the profit was 1.22 billion.

In 2022, Akzo Nobel announced plans to leave Russia and closed the Russian-language section on the corporate website, which is currently unavailable for viewing. The remaining business in the country came under the control of local management. As explained in Akzo Nobel, the transfer of assets under external management is not possible due to difficulties with the supply of raw materials.
