OREANDA-NEWS The growth rate of Russian industrial production will slow down by half — from four percent in 2024 to two percent in 2025. This is reported by RBC with reference to the macro forecast prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development (MAYOR).

Manufacturing industries will show a particularly strong slowdown. Their growth rate is expected to decrease to 2.9 percent in 2025. In 2024, this figure was equal to seven percent.

In the segment of production of computers, electronic and optical products, the slowdown will reach 2.5 percent. As for finished metal products, except for machinery and equipment, the growth dynamics will decrease to 4.3 percent in 2025. The growth rate in the production of "other" vehicles and equipment will drop to five percent and to 2.8 percent in the production of electrical equipment.

In early September, Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said that by the end of 2024, the Russian manufacturing industry will show 6.8 percent growth. Previously, it was expected to reach five percent of this indicator.
