According to the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, the import of legal persons of the new light commercial vehicles to Russia for 2016 was 13.5 thousand units, which is less by 1.9% than the annual figure. Thus, the import of LCV into our country is being reduced for the fourth year in a row.

The largest importer of cars with a full weight of up to 3.5 tons in the last year was Volkswagen with a share of about 25% in the total volume of supplies. Thus, 3,3 thousand cars of the German brand (-6,5%) were imported to Russia. The second place by the volume of import was another German brand, Mercedes-Benz, whose result was 2,500 light commercial vehicles (-16%), and the share reached 18%.
