OREANDA-NEWS  The analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" conducted a survey of the market of new cars in Moscow in August of 2017. This study covered the segment of crossovers and off-road vehicles and it allowed to make a rating of the most popular such cars in the Russian capital.

According to the results of the research, in the last month of the summer the most sold model in the capital market of SUV was Volkswagen Tiguan, which indicator was 433 units. This is 3.6 times more than the result of a year ago. Hyundai Creta, who was the leader for several months in a row, fell to the second place. In August, this model was bought by 374 residents of the capital - 55% more than a year ago. Quite a little lost to it Nissan X-Trail (371 units, + 12.5%), which closed the top three. We also note that Toyota RAV4 (359 units, + 3.5%) and Renault Kaptur (336 units, + 160%) were outside of it in August.

In addition to them, the TOP-10 of the Moscow SUV market in August included: Renault Duster (304 units, -7.5%), Nissan Qashqai (303 units; + 17.5%), Mitsubishi Outlander (237 units; + 58%), Ford Kuga (234 units, + 75%) and Mazda CX-5 (229 units, -25%). In total, the volume of the market of new crossovers and SUVs in Moscow in August of 2017 was 7.6 thousand units, which is more by 15% than a year ago.
