OREANDA-NEWS Analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" conducted a study of the Russian market of new cars and it made a rating of the best-selling models in the Far Eastern Federal District in 2016.

According to the survey, the most popular model in the market of new cars in the Far Eastern Federal District in the last year was a crossover Toyota RAV4, which reached 1073 units, which is more by 36% than in 2015. Second place went to Toyota Land Cruiser, which was sold in amount of 881 units, by showing an increase of 20%. In the third place of the rating there is one more model Toyota - Land Cruiser Prado SUV with a score of 797 cars (-4.5%). UAZ "Patriot" is closing the top-five of leaders (693 units; -27%), which was the market leader in the Far East in 2015, and LADA 4x4 (492 units; -26.5%).

The top-10 of the local market during the reporting period also included: Lexus LX (459 units; + 192%), Nissan X-Trail (456 units; -16,5%), Lexus NX (454 units; + 34% ), Hyundai Solaris (450 units; -18%) and the Nissan Terrano (443 units; + 50%). As a whole, the volume of the market of new passenger cars in Far East fell by 13% to 12.2 thousand units.

We also note that in December of the last year, the leadership in the market of the Far East was owned by Toyota Land Cruiser (109 units), while the Toyota RAV4 (99 units) occupied the second position.
