OREANDA-NEWS. August 25, 2016. Analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" has conducted the research and it was made a rating of the most popular models purchased for taxi services. The study covered approximately 100 of the largest companies providing taxi services and rental cars in more than 70 Russian regions.

At the end of 6 months of 2016 these companies bought slightly more than 8 thousand new passenger cars in Russia. At the same time the most popular model, used in the taxi, remains Hyundai Solaris, which was one in five cars (1.6 thousand units).

Then with the share of 12% Ford Focus follows (967 units). The top- three of leaders is closed by the Skoda Octavia (810 units), which belongs to every tenth car bought for taxi services. The top-five includes also KIA Rio (742 units) and Skoda Rapid (674 units).

The top-10 of models used for taxis in Russia by the results of first half of 2016 year also included: Volkswagen Polo (635 units), Renault Logan (533 units), Nissan Almera (382 units), KIA Ceed (148 units) and Toyota Camry (131 units). The sales of other cars are less than one hundred of units. The share of the ten listed models was more than 80% of the total sales of cars for taxi services.
