OREANDA-NEWS As a result of the market research "Car service market in Russia", carried out by the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", the capacity of the car service market for passenger cars in 2016 was calculated.

For 69 of the largest regions of the Russian Federation, which have more than 97% of the parc of cars, the market capacity was 524.2 billion rubles.

This sum includes annual sales of maintenance and repair services by official dealers (49 billion rubles) and independent service stations (73.3 billion rubles), but excluding the sale of spare parts and consumables.

Also it was also calculated the potential of the market (141.9 billion rubles), which means the repair and maintenance of cars (produced personally by car owners or private mechanics) in monetary terms.

In addition, it was calculated the volumes of such services as car wash (119.7 billion rubles), tire service (24.2 billion rubles) and body repair (116.1 billion rubles).
