The SUV segment became the leader of the Russian market in February
OREANDA-NEWS Analysts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" conducted a survey of the Russian market of new cars in breakdown by segments.
According to the survey, in February of 2017 the largest market segment was the SUV, the share of which was 42.8%. In quantitative terms, it corresponds to 42.1 thousand of sold crossovers and off-road vehicles.
B-class cars, which are the leaders in sales by the results of 2016, fell to the second place. So, the share of this segment was 38.9% in the last month, which is equivalent to 38.2 thousand units.
As analysts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" noted that the leadership of the SUV segment in February is largely due to seasonal factors, as in winter, the demand for SUVs and crossovers is growing.
