OREANDA-NEWS. A professional skill contest among industrial engineers was held at the forge plant of KAMAZ (part of the Rostec State Corporation).

The contest as usual consisted of two stages. Half an hour was devoted to theory and an hour – to practice. The event was attended by engineers of the technological department of metal pressure treatment and the engineering and manufacturing department of tooling. Each of them received a drawing where it was necessary to determine a detail and describe the technical process of its manufacture.

«The assignments are not very difficult, but they are compiled so that a person could show how deep his knowledge is, what resource-efficient technologies he can offer in his work,» said Deputy Chief Technologist Ravil Nizamov.

«We see how interested the guys are,» said Kamil Tazeyev, Leading Technologist, commenting not only on the contest, but also on the day-to-day work. «And the factory has something to offer those who want to become professionals in their field: new equipment is being introduced, new methods of stamping are being developed, we are developing the technological processes for making new stamps.»
