OREANDA-NEWS Russian dealers of Skoda began to accept orders for a new Kodiaq SUV. The cost of the car in the basic version of Active, available after localization of production in the first half of 2018, will be 1 million 500 thousand rubles. In June of this year, the show-rooms of the dealer centers of the brand in Russia will receive an exclusive limited edition of Skoda Kodiaq in premium Ambition Plus and Style Plus configurations that were not offered earlier for other Skoda models. The starting cost of cars will be 1 million 999 thousand rubles and 2 million 315 thousand rubles, respectively, informed the press service of Skoda Auto Russia.

As the head of the Skoda brand in Russia, Jan Prochazka, said, Kodiaq is the first big SUV of Czech brand, and the company makes big bets on this model. "In 2018, we will open local production of Kodiaq and we will offer customers a wide range of complete sets, engines and transmissions. For those who do not want to wait, already this summer it will be available a limited series of Kodiaq Czech cars, assembled in Ambition Plus and Style Plus premium configurations", - he said.

Skoda Kodiaq cars in the base configuration are already available for pre-order at authorized dealers and they will appear in the branded salons after the launch of the local production, scheduled for the beginning of 2018. In the initial configuration, the SUV will be equipped with a petrol turbocharged TSI engine of 1.4 liters (125 hp) and a mechanical 6-speed gearbox combined with a front-wheel drive. The starting cost of the model will be 1 million 500 thousand rubles. Detailed equipment, a line of engines and prices for cars of the Russian assembly will be announced later.
