OREANDA-NEWS. In Togliatti, the launch of LADA Granta Liftback started after the transfer of production from Izhevsk. This solution has allowed LADA to optimize significantly the production processes by loading Kalina / Granta facilities on the Togliatti site, while the LADA Izhevsk plant focuses on the best-selling products of the LADA Vesta family.

As the press service of AVTOVAZ informs, more than 500 units of welding equipment and accessories were transferred from the production site "LADA Izhevsk". In parallel, training of specialists in Togliatti for second shift work on the Kalina / Granta line was conducted. The assembly line Kalina / Granta in Togliatti switched to a two-shift operation mode.

As noted, sales of LADA Granta Liftback did not stop – it was made the necessary stock of this model for the dealer network. The price of the model starts from 424 thousand 900 rubles. Recall, the complex for the production of cars on the Kalina platform was put into operation in 2004-2008. In total, more than 1.5 million cars were produced here: first and second generation Kalina, Granta, Datsun. Izhevsk Automobile Plant produced LADA Granta in the body of "liftback" since May of 2014.
