OREANDA-NEWS. In line with the terms of the Contract, Power Machines will design, manufacture and deliver four radial-axial turbine runners with improved energy, cavitation and strength characteristics to Ust-Ilim NPP and will render the chief control services over the installation of equipment delivered.

The second runner delivery for Ust-Ilim NPP is planned for October, 2016. Deliveries completion deadline is the fourth quarter 2017; startup of the fourth unit is planned for the first quarter 2018. Replacement of runners by new ones shall result in hydro-electric units’ efficiency increase up to 96.7% with the design water head of 86.5 m and hydro-electric unit output of 240 MW.

New runners delivery for the Ust-Ilim NPP is a part of the integrated modification program of Novaya Energia Angara-Yenisei cascade which is carried out by EvroSibEnergo Company. Power Machines acts as one of the key partners within the program. In 2016 – 2018 the Company will also make a delivery of new runners and transformers (the latter produced by Power Machines – Toshiba. High-voltage Transformers) for the EvroSibEnergo Krasnoyarsk NPP within the frames of the program.
