Nissan announces winners of annual scholarship award
OREANDA-NEWS. June 14, 2016. Last week, Nissan announced the winners of its annual NissanScholarship Program, awarding six middle Tennessee high school seniors renewable grants ranging from \\$1,000 to \\$3,750 per year.
The 2016 winners and their chosen universities are:
- Natalie Covington – Stewarts Creek High School (Middle Tennessee State University)
- Phillip Curtis – Cascade High School (Middle Tennessee State University)
- Joshua Harner – Coffee County Central High School (Sewanee)
- Stephany Marin Restrepo – Siegel High School (University of Memphis)
- Jennifer Lynn Newman – Siegel High School (Middle Tennessee State University)
- Andrew Salyer – Macon County High school (Belmont University)
The program is offered to dependent sons and daughters of full-time Nissan employees who work at the company's vehicle assembly, battery and powertrain operations located in Smyrna and Decherd, Tennessee. The funds can be applied to tuition, fees, books, supplies and equipment required for the course load.
